I am doing a lot of dressmaking for my brother's wedding in August and we are also renovating our house completely by ourselves at the moment! I have thought hard about it and have decided to close to hair orders completely at the moment as I just don't have the time to commit to them. T-shirt reconstruction orders will be taken as normal though as the turnaround time for these is quicker. Please contact any of the sellers on my links page for any extensions or falls.

14.12.08 - Open over Xmas and New Year!
For the first time ever since I started trading in 2002, I'll be taking orders as normal over the festive period. Regular customers will know that I'm a nurse by profession and up until recently I worked shifts in a hospital. I'm now working in a doctors surgery so, for the first time, I won't be working crazy hours over the festive period. However, I have a lot of orders at the moment so the waiting time is now up at around 9 weeks just now.

20.11.08 - New NYX cosmetic pigments in stock!
There are now 3 different brand of cosmetic pigments in stock. I spent some time importing the USA only brand NYX to offer an even wider range of colour choice. NYX pigments are heavily pigmented, smooth and easy to blend. Full details on the pigments page.

26.10.08 - New nursing opportunity for yours truly!
Having done hair and clothes full time for a year now, I often found myself yearning to go back into nursing. It's true what they say 'Once a nurse, always a nurse'. It takes a certain type of person to be good at nursing and sometimes I think it's in the blood rather than what you learn! Therefore I decided to make the move back and have just landed myself a fantastic new job at the local surgery.

Obviously this means that I don't have as much time to take on orders like before and get them completed within the 3 weeks I was quoting. I can still take on plenty of work, but realistically my turnover time is going to increase to around 7 weeks per order. If I cannot fulfill your order I will happily recommend another vendor to you that I personally guarantee will make you fantastic dreads!

27.05.08 - CLOSED UNTIL 6th June
I'm taking a well earned break to spend a week outdoors in the beautiful Scottish countryside! Halo Designs will be closed from 30.05.08 till 06.06.08 and all emails will be dealt with on my return. Current orders are almost up to date and will send out before I leave.

The Sunshine hair promotion continues so make sure to take advantage of it! I've had the chance to make up a few interesting sets so far.

29.04.08 - SUMMER SPECIAL OFFERS!
From 1st May to 1st July I'm offering sets of synthetic dread falls at a special discounted rate. Is there a catch? Of course there is!

Basically you pick your base colour and I will pick 3 accent colours for you. You can give me an idea roughly of your prefence (ie. reds, pinks) but you can't specify a colour. You can also have 4 candycanes per fall if you wish.

I'll be offering a pair of hand steamed, just below shoulder length, 40-45 count each SYNTHETIC dread falls (roving is not included in this offer) for the discounted price of £50 all inclusive (they would normally be between £70-£75). This includes UK postage. The offer price for overseas customers will be £56 inc insured postage.

05.01.08 - CHANGES ARE AFOOT IN HALO WORLD!
A New Year normally brings about some sort of change...especially here! I've finally launched the full website to incorporate Halo Wear, Halocaustic Hair's clothing sister company. The accounts and bank legalities are all tied up now and we're ready to roll under the new incorporated name of Halo Designs - hope you like the new website and it didn't confuse you too much when you saw the front page!

I'm also now offering human hair extension kits! I've regularly been installing bonded weft into friends hair for over a year now and as human hair extensions become more and more popular, this seemed like the natural thing to do.

Also, X-Tensions have just launched their new range of Fantasy Hair and so I will be offering dreads made from these colours now too. I haven't seen all the colours available but the ones I have seen are beautiful! I have my colour charts udpated to include the ones I have in stock at the moment so far.

23.11.07 - LAST ORDER DATE FOR XMAS/NEW YEAR - 29th November!!
If you want something made in time for the holiday season, orders must be in and PAID FOR by 29th November. This is to give me adequate time to make sure everyone gets their order in a timely fashion. All orders taken after 29th November will be completed asap in January.

05.11.07 - BUSINESS AS USUAL!!
Okay, time to get those orders in! Waiting time is only 4 weeks from date of payment clearing! Get your festive hair planned and get some gorgeous new MAC or Ben Nye eyeshadow to match your hair or your oufit. Don't settle for being anything less than the hottest person at every party! PS - Keep an eye out for a revamped website in the near future and the launch of Halo Designs - the DIY shirt surgery section of the Halocaustic mini-empire. Oh yes!

06.09.07 - NOT TAKING NEW ORDERS UNTIL MID-OCTOBER
I am moving house at the end of September therefore I am extremely busy getting packed up and will be very busy when I move into my new house. I won't be taking on any new orders unless it's something that really grabs my attention and I am desperate to make it! Halloween/cosplay orders are always welcome! I won't have time to keep up with my normal volume of work so I decided just to close for a few weeks. Those who have e-mailed for a quote recently can still have their orders completed and I have taken these into account, I just won't be taking on any new orders until mid-October.

06.06.07 - NEW MAC PIGMENTS IN STOCK! & Ben Nye pigments coming soon!
The MAC eyeshadow pigment page has now been updated with pigments from the most recent collections and 2 new pigments 'Viz-A-Violet' and 'Helium' from the forthcoming Balloonacy collection (not scheduled to be released in the UK until late July!) Also, keep your eyes peeled in this section for a new range of Ben Nye eyeshadow pigments, the US equivalent of Kryolan theatre grade cosmetics. I will be posting details of these very soon and will only have them for a limited time. Good news is that the colours are very different to anything in the MAC range and are just as highly pigmented.

29.01.07 - OPEN FOR BUSINESS AS USUAL!
I am now able to take on orders as normal. However, a few people have already contacted me to reserve a place on the waiting list and have paid for their orders in full. As such, the waiting list for order completion (from date of payment) is currently around 5 to 6 weeks.

06.09.06 NEW! METALLIC PINK AND LILAC DREADS!!!

Yep, I now offer metallic pink and lilac dreads. These are super shiny dreads which shimmer with a metallic effect.
