Jeye is a curious affair. Musically active for numerous years under that monniker and from further back under other names that will remain unmentioned he is hardly the most prolific artist. Over the course of five years, several low-key releases and a handful of gigs across Scotland and Europe this act has developed a reputation amongst those with their ears to the underground for ethereal and captivating music.

From the blissed out washes of atmospheric synths all those years ago, the sound of Jeye has steadily found focus. Condensing to become melodically rich and inviting, the sound of cello, violin and piano blend to evoke a kind of melancholic euphoria that has rarely been seen since the shoe-gazing indie-rock bands of the
UK in the early 1990's. Combined with a penchant for defunct drum machine sounds and gurgles of synthesiser the sound of this artist can no longer be said to be confined to the chill-out room.

With a slew of remixes from suitably switched on artists and his forthcoming ep, Hatch, it would seem that Jeye is starting to make himself increasingly known. Time to say that you were there at the elongated start.
