It’s not really an overstatement to say that there really is so much to say about Scorn and so little space to sensibly say it. It could be described as the main musical project of the musician Mick Harris but then he has been involved with so many bands and other projects in his tenure that sells those short. Starting in the
mid 80s as the drummer in seminal grindcore act Napalm Death before leaving to form Scorn, Harris’ career has feature many side-roads off the main thoroughfare of Scorn. Spanning from the personal ambient meditations of Lull to the drum’n’bass rhythms of Quoit and encompassing all points in between.

Somewhere in the middle of all that resides Scorn. An intoxicating proposition of bass, slow and heavy beats washed over with atmospheric sci-fi flares of sound; the sound takes notes from a host of genres and filters it in to a very distinct identity. From the moment the sub-bass drops, or those drums crash in and rollover the listener it is impossible to mistake it for anyone else.
